Peter G. Snow is Technical Director of Shamrock Pozzolan, LLC. Since his
career began in 1974, Mr. Snow has been involved as a executive and
consultant in all aspects of the concrete and ready mix industry, including
pre-cast, investigation of materials, formulations and use of chemical add
mixtures, production, quality control, and quality assurance. He was
elected an International Fellow of the American Concrete Institute in 1989
by his peers for outstanding contributions to concrete technology. He has
been chairman of the following ACI committees: Fly Ash and Natural
Pozzolans in Concrete, Lightweight Aggregates in Concrete, and Hot
Topics. He was also a member of the Normal Weight Aggregates in
Concrete, Silica Fume, High Performance Concrete, High Strength
Concrete, Aesthetics and Convention and Membership Committees. He
has been a member of ASTM committees on Concrete, Concrete
Aggregates, Cement, Chemical Reactions, Methods of Testing and
Specifications for Lightweight and Normal Weight Aggregates, and
Supplementary Cementitious Materials. Mr. Snow is the author and co-
author of numerous white papers regarding strength and durability of
concrete. His expertise has been sought nationally by industry,
engineering, and architectural firms. He is a Vietnam veteran and lives in
Midvale, Utah.
