Nick Smith is Chairman and CEO of Shamrock Mining & Metals, LLC. He is
also Chairman of Provo Consulting Group, LLC, which provides financing
and management to emerging technology companies and serves on the
Boards of several portfolio companies. Previously he was Chairman of GE
Driver Development; Chairman and CEO of GE Capital I-Sim; Chairman
and CEO of VTS Holdings, LLC; Chairman of Applied Simulation
Technologies, LLC; Chairman of Direct Controls, Inc; Chairman of
IMCentric, Inc; and COO and Director of Phonex Corporation. He is the
founder of Mountain West Venture Group’s Annual Report on Capital
Formation and serves on the National Advisory Council of the BYU Marriott
School of Management, where he also received an MBA and teaches an
occasional finance class to MBA students. Mr. Smith is a veteran of the U.
S. Army (Captain, Infantry) from the Viet Nam era. He resides with his
family in Alpine, Utah.
